AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy is an exciting program to get dog owners and their puppies off to a good start with puppy education, socialization activities, and basic training.

At the end of the class, you will receive the education and materials for twenty skill sets, including five behaviors: sit, down, come, loose manners, and leave it. 

Upon graduation, you will also be provided with an AKC form signed by an AKC-certified CGC evaluator to be submitted for your puppy’s AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy certification!

Reliable Recall is a practical learning course to improve your pup's leash-walking skills. Orientation is parents only - without your dogs. This will prepare you for effective training. Throughout the class, we'll build up your dog's recall to come away from their biggest distractions when called. Class is held at Linden Park to offer a conducive environment for learning amidst real-world distractions.

Leash Manners is a practical learning course to improve your pup's leash-walking skills. Orientation is parents only - without your dogs. This will prepare you for effective training. Throughout the class, we'll delve into topics including heel vs. loose leash walking, mastering leash cues, settling in new environments, defensive walking, moving with you on walks, and polite manners around other dogs. Class is held at Linden Park to offer a conducive environment for learning amidst real-world distractions.

Ages: 6 months or older

Six 1-hour weekly sessions.

Basic Obedience builds on basic obedience while introducing a few new behaviors. The skills you and your dog will learn will become valuable tools to navigate distractions and challenging situations.

At the end of the class, you will receive the education and materials for holding a sit and down, relaxing on a mat, impulse control, recall, leash manners, and leave it.

Six 1-hour weekly sessions

This class is for reactive dogs (lunging, barking, snarling) toward other dogs or distractions when on a leash. Learn calming techniques, how to manage your dog when on a leash around their triggers, and how to teach your dog to act more appropriately when seeing them. The techniques taught in this class can be used for reactivity toward people, noises, other animals, and other distractions or for dogs who have difficulty disengaging from distractions.

 We will be outside for this class to set up the dogs for best success, simulating real-life situations.

Six 1-hour weekly sessions

This course is an excellent outlet for your dog's incredible sense of smell. It engages and challenges their brain differently than other outlets. Scent work mimics the task of detecting, locating a scent, and communicating to the handler that the scent was found. Working detection dogs search for various scents to help protect and save. Scent work taps into this fantastic work to provide fun games for you and your dogs. You will have a deeper connection and bond with your dog through their nose at the end of the six weeks.

Three 1-hour weekly sessions.

This class covers all aspects of at-home body handling and grooming. It is designed for dogs uncomfortable with being handled or groomed and those looking to desensitize their new puppy to handling and grooming.

You will receive the education and materials for correct body handling, at-home grooming, and desensitization at the end of the three weeks.
