Alex honed her dog training skills through immersive experiences in daycares and dog sitting. This hands-on foundation cultivated her unique insights into the intricacies of canine behavior. Along with hands-on experience, she also has extensive knowledge of behavior modification, animal science, communicating with dogs, and the motivations and emotions behind behavior.
She imparts her knowledge through both group classes and private sessions, adeptly tailoring her guidance to meet each dog's specific needs, ensuring that every dog receives the individualized care they deserve. Her expertise is specialized in reactivity, body handling, decompression & regulation, and body language interpretation. Alex has collaborated closely with rescue, grooming, and day care organizations to educate their staff in proper handling and communication.
Alex proudly holds Fear-Free Trainer and CTA certifications, also having held the CPDT-KA for three years until she switched and became a member of the IAABC. Her dedication to responsible and compassionate training is apparent in her techniques and continual education.
She is always continuing her education, currently working toward her CDBC through the IAABC .
